Tyler Farrar Defends Title in Delta Tour of Zeeland

For the second year in a row Wenatchee native, Tyler Farrar, rode his Felt to victory in Holland’s three-day, Delta Tour of Zeeland. A strong showing in preparation for the Tour De France, although he didn’t win a stage this time around. Hopefully the bicycling gods will smile on Garmin-Transitions this Tour and propel him to a couple of stage wins.

Already a Banner Year for Tyler Farrar

The middle of the professional bicycling season has already brought several successes for American Tyler Farrar, of Wenatchee, WA. With two stage wins in the Giro D’Italia, one of the three ‘Grand Tours of Europe,’ a stage win in the Three Days of De Panne, a first place finish in the Scheldeprijs, and a handful of other podium finishes, he is demonstrating his skill as an elite sprinter. We are going to be watching closely for victories in this year’s Tour De France.

Hometown Boy comes up big in Italy

This isn’t exactly fresh news, but I thought since Tyler Farrar of professional bicycling team Garmin-Slipstream is from my hometown, it would be worth posting a link showing the most impressive stage win of his career to date. On March 13th Tyler beat out some of the top sprinters in the world, including Thor Hushovd, Robbie McEwen, Tom Boonen, and Mark Cavendish, to claim victory at Stage Three of the Tirenno-Adriatico.
