I want to be a “War Tourist”

Apparently, it has become a hip thing for mid-level dignitaries from around the world to travel to the war torn capital of Kabul, Afghanistan for what has been termed “War Tourism.” As if this trend weren’t mildly disturbing in its own right, the constant stream of lookieloos is putting considerable strain on the US Embassy there. Soon the staff will double, in hopes of keeping up with the deteriorating situation, but will it be enough to develop a semblance of order in the political miasma of Afghanistan? Is this an obvious sign of depreciating American potency in the region?

"I hope they have a pool."
